mui Lab to Present the Future of Smart Homes Under the Theme “Calm Technology® from Kyoto” along with Mitsubishi Estate and Miwa Lock at CES2026

Dec 26, 2025

Introducing Matter-Based Calm Technology® blended into Everyday Life—Improving Wellness at Home.

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 6th, 2026) — At CES2026 (Jan. 6-9), mui Lab, Inc., the Kyoto-based Calm Technology® company, will present its Matter-enabled “Calm OS”: a smart home platform that seamlessly blends into daily life—presenting a calmer vision for the future of smart home.

mui Lab will co-exhibit with two leading Japanese partners—Mitsubishi Estate and MIWA Lock—demonstrating how Calm Technology® can be infused into applications, user interfaces, and services through the Calm OS platform.

Calm OS features to be shown at CES 2026:

1.     Calm Sleep with mui: A well-being–focused sleep experience in the bedroom (to be unveiled on January 6th)

2.     Movement-based lighting control: Intuitive, non-intrusive lighting control through natural body movements.

Further details on mui Lab’s proprietary exhibits will be announced in a separate press release closer to CES.

In collaboration with Mitsubishi Estate, a major Japanese real-estate developer, mui Lab will also showcase “Energy Window,” a feature of Mitsubishi Estate’s smart home service HOMETACT, which visualizes household energy usage in an intuitive and approachable way.

Additionally, with MIWA Lock, a global security manufacturer, we will demonstrate how the mui Board integrates with Matter-compatible smart locks—offering a seamless, delightful, and next-generation home security experience.

Through these demonstrations, mui Lab highlights the expanding possibilities of smart homes built on Calm OS, reinforcing its position as a leading company driving the real-world adoption of calm technology—from Kyoto to the world, under the banner of “Calm Technology® from Kyoto.”
